Sealing Slate Before Installing It

Hi, I have been told that it is better to seal the slate tiles i bought before I fit them, would it be ok to do this, thx

Answer:
This would be quite time consuming to do but I suppose you could do it, I have never heard of anybody sealing slate tiles this way before, it is always better to install the tiles, clean them & then seal them, it takes half the time to do & they will all be in situe then & sealing will be easy, my advice would be to seal them on installation.
